Do you have to be a member of Centenary to participate in any of the offered activities?
No, anyone is welcome to participate regardless of church membership, faith, background, race, etc.
Where are you located?
What does "I am 3rd" stand for?
The league name comes from, "Christ is first, others are second, and I am third."
How do I get I am 3rd League Information?
Click on the sport you are interested in on the left. These links contain our league information. If you still can’t find your answer then email us at info@lexrec.org
Do you have a recreation HOTLINE?
Yes, depending on the season and activities occurring, you may call the Recreation HOTLINE for updates and information. That number is 859.269.2800 x 503.
When should I call the recreation Hotline?
The hotline is used to give updates for cancellations of events. If the weather is questionable, you can call the hotline or check www.lexrec.org to see if the event has been cancelled.
When do you make the decision to cancel games or practices?
We try to use a general rule of 1 ½ hrs before the event. We change the recreation line, and the website at the time we make the decision. You can check either one to get cancellation announcements. If the weather becomes severe during a practice, the rule is that if you see lightning then practices or games are cancelled.
Are scholarships available for your leagues and/or activities?
Yes. For more information regarding this matter please contact Richard Grier (see "Staff" section).
Can I register with a friend and play on their team?
Yes, you should register separately but you must request each other to be placed on the same team. We make every effort to accommodate friend requests but we do not guarantee we can honor every request.
Can I request a coach?
No. You must request the player and that player must request you.
How can I become a coach?
Take a look at the “How to be a Coach” section under the sport that you are interested in.
When will rosters be available?
We make rosters available to everyone for the first time at the parents meetings. After that the rosters are placed on the website to download.
What is provided for the cost that I pay?
A jersey, field use for practices and games, and an incredible sports experience where you will learn about and feel the love of God. The cost helps pay for field rentals, equipment, field maintanence, devotion printing, and the awards celebration. The staff is available during games, and regular business hours by email or phone.
What should I do after I register?
Make sure you check the emails that you have received with important dates. Our main way to contact is through email, if you are not receiving email announcements from us, please sign up on the website.
